Still working on the people and plants project with the folks from Les Jardins Du Ruisseau in Paris. At this point, we’re researching the connections between the urban farming cultures and relationships with the city. We didn’t want to fill a bunch of hard drives with information to collect dust in a closet, so we chose to use instagram as our research platform. We’ll be updating @peopleandplants with images and videos often. Have a look for yourself, and give us a follow if you’re feeling kind.

I’ve been working all night getting this image towards final edits. Here’s a little crop for now, the full image is really starting to get there.

After some thinking and revising, I decided to title my newest work “Situations” for now. The artist’s statement will find its way onto my web site soon enough, but the work at its core is about isolation, detachment and longing in social groups. Think of those times in high school where no matter how popular you got, you still felt a lack of genuine connection with the people around you. The images are interpretations of memories and stories, almost in the style of theatre.
